The Breath of God

There has been a dearth in the land. It is now time to call forth the breath of God to bring forth life. The Wind (ruwach/pneuma) is available to bring forth new life. We must prophesy, using the Word of God to call it forth in this hour. In the following passages from Ezekiel there is one word in the original Hebrew that describes both wind and breath. That word is ruwach. It is defined in the Strongs as:

from 7306; wind; by resemblance breath, i.e. a sensible (or even violent) exhalation; figuratively, life, anger, unsubstantiality; by extension, a region of the sky; by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being (including its expression and functions): -- air, anger, blast, breath, X cool, courage, mind, X quarter, X side, spirit([-ual]), tempest, X vain, ([whirl-wind(-y).

The corresponding word used in some of the New Testament passages is pneuma. The definition is essentially the same.

Strong's number:4151
Greek: pneuma
Pronunciation: pnyoo'-mah
from 4154; a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze; by analogy or figuratively, a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, demon, or (divine) God, Christ's spirit, the Holy Spirit: --ghost, life, spirit(-ual, -ually), mind. Compare 5590.

The same word is used from Genesis to Revelation when describing the action from the Lord of His breath or spirit. It is also used to describe the Wind or Whirlwind that brings forth Gods divine plan. The Father is commanding us to call forth His Breath (ruwach/pneuma) to bring life to the dead and change to the Body.

Ezek 37:9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

Ezek 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Many in the Body feel dry and overburdened in this hour. Hopelessness and heaviness is trying to overpower those who are crying out for the latter rain. Just as Gideon’s army there is a remnant who have been prepared to help their brethren to victory. Those who stand ready have been refreshed and alerted for such a day as this. They stand at alert awaiting the Lords command. These individuals have gone through much destruction and restoration in their lives shine forth the Power of the Lord to give hope to those who are dry and hopeless.

Ezek 37:11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

Ezek 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

Ezek 37:13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up out of your graves,

Ezek 37:14 And shall put my spirit(ruwach) in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

Ezek 37:15 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,

By calling forth His Breath it will bring unity within the Body of Christ. One heart, one mind, one spirit. The purpose is to bring glory to the Lord renewing our knowledge of His supreme Lordship over us. It also will make manifest unto the world His power and authority.

Ezek 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:

With this unity will come forth the dunamus power as in Acts 4-5. The "greater works" that Jesus spoke about will come forth with this move. Manifestations of the Lords power which have never been seen yet by human eye nor perceived in the hearts of men will occur.

Ezek 37:17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.

Ezek 37:18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?

Ezek 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

A Greater and new authority is being given to the Body in this hour. Now is the appointed time. The Lord is calling forth for an unparalleled unity, that He may be glorified. The Father is calling back those removed into far countries by rejection and hurt from the brethren. He is wooing the prodigal sons and daughters’ home. We must prepare to receive the broken and despised. Opening our heart in love, restoring those who have fallen to their called positions. The hand of the Father is upon us for the restoration of His people.

Ezek 37:20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

Ezek 37:21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

It is the work of the Fathers hand. No flesh may glory in what He is about to do. We must surrender and stand in the gap for those who are near death. Interceding for the Lords perfect and complete will.

Ezek 37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

Purity will come forth along with the knowledge and recognition of the profane and holy. Spiritual blindness will be removed and our hearts will be cleansed, perfected in His holiness. A bride chaste and pure standing ready for Her grooms return.

Ezek 37:23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

Ezek 37:24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

Ezek 37:25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

Ezek 37:26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

Ezek 37:27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Ezek 37:28 And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

Father, I thank you for your Breath of life. Bring forth the latter rain unto our dry and barren lands. Spirit of God come unto your people now. Restore unto us your strength and love. Lord, I stand in the gap for those who have become too weak and dry to even stand before your throne. In the precious name of Jesus, I call forth the breath of God. Come forth to your people now. We receive your covenant of peace and desire to dwell forever in your sanctuary worshiping you in the Beauty of Holiness. Praise you for your divine and unending love.

The Whirlwind of the Lord cometh.
