OPEN THE EYES OF OUR HEARTS LORD

 

While waiting on the Lord recently I heard one word. It was dissimulation. According to the Webster’s 1828 the definition is as follows.  

DISSIMULATION, n. [L., to make like; like.] The act of dissembling; a hiding under a false appearance; a feigning; false pretension; hypocrisy. Dissimulation may be simply concealment of the opinions, sentiments or purpose; but it includes also the assuming of a false or counterfeit appearance, which conceals the real opinions or purpose.  

Dissimulation is hypocrisy. No one ever wants to think they have been walking a walk that is less than perfect. But we must face it, we ALL have done it at some time or another. Generally we as Believers have looked at others judging whether we feel others are living a pure life, when in fact this practice of fault finding places us in the category of hypocrisy. The Lord is NOT HAPPY with the way so many in the Body are fault finding and finger pointing when they themselves have hidden evil in their own hearts.  

We cannot afford to waste any more time defending our “personal rights” to debate over our opinion of who is right and wrong. There is not one among us who is perfect. We must throw ourselves down at the feet of the Lord and ask forgiveness for us a people. We have profaned the sanctuary of God not separating the holy from the common.  

I am including the definitions of hypocrisy and feigning in this post so that we all may know the true meaning of the word. Read each word with an open heart and mind to the direction of the Spirit of God. Allow Him to reveal any hidden areas of your walk so that you may lay it upon the alter with a repentant heart. This feigned condition is common to everyone in the Body and for us to be whole we must pray for healing as a WHOLE, starting with the HEART. If you say “not I” your own heart deceives you, for there is not one of us who is perfect as of yet.            

HYPOC'RISY, n. [L. hypocrisis; Gr. simulation; to feign; to separate, discern or judge.]

1. Simulation; a feigning to be what one is not; or dissimulation, a concealment of one's real character or motives.  More generally, hypocrisy is simulation, or the assuming of a false appearance of virtue or religion; a deceitful show of a good character, in morals or religion; a counterfeiting of religion.
 Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.  Luke 12.
2.  Simulation; deceitful appearance; false pretence.
 Hypocrisy is the necessary burden of villainy.  

HYP'OCRITE, n.

1.  One who feigns to be what he is not; one who has the form of godliness without the power, or who assumes an appearance of piety and virtue, when he is destitute of true religion.
2.  A dissembler; one who assumes a false appearance.  

FEIGN, v.t. fane.  [L. fingo.  The Latin forms fictum, fictus, whence figura, figure, also fucus.]

1.  To invent or imagine; to form an idea or conception of something not real.
There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart.  Neh. 6.
2.  To make a show of; to pretend; to assume a false appearance; to counterfeit.
3.  To represent falsely; to pretend; to form and relate a fictitious tale.
4.  To dissemble; to conceal.  Obs.

As I write this message for the Body, I feel such urgency in the spirit. We are being warned by the Spirit of God to stop lying to ourselves and to Him. If we will SEEK HIS FACE and place our shortcomings upon God’s alter, He will change us.
